Hi, I have a 1/16 truggy and was wondering if its possible to improve the ground clearence by putting on some bigger wheels? Will they fit? Does it cause problems?

probably if they use standard hex fitment, you would have to adjust the gearing really though

i tried fitting bigger wheels to my 1/10th buggy and they looked great. but spped and accleration were crap as i didn't change the gearing.

Is it a difficult job changing the gearing?

buy smaller clutch bell then...
engine out, remove screw/washer holding clutch bell remove clutch bell, swap bearings from old clutch bell into the new one, then fit clutch bell on followed by screw/washer but use some threadlock on this screw. job done.
p.s. also worth degreasing the new clutch bell with motor cleaner or similar as they are sometimes supplied lightly coated in oil to preven rusting

don't put too much locktight on though lol, as i had to drill out a screw on my crankshaft as stupid me put far too much on  and now i can't find where to buy another screw for spares (as i used my spare) on its own.
