Marc.. RC Addict! - August 3, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
hi guys

i took my car out about 8pm it was nice and wet out side so i thought perfect for some drifting with my semi drift tyres,, all was going well untill i let my mate have ago, he span out and went into a big puddle, that was it the car stopped.

I thought and was hoping that once dry it may work again, but i was only half right, ive only got reverse, so i tried to set up the esc again, yup without a manual lol, now the esc just lights up and i get no move ment back the esc is lighting up saying its working, im well stuck. the esc could be dead :( but i want to try to set it up again to find out for sure.

the esc is a LRP F1 digital forward & reverse..

does anyone know how to set this esc up for know where i can get the info? ive tried there site but found noting useful..

heres the car..

P.S dont let your mates use your models near puddles unless they are waterproof..

And Personally, if Anything gets Wet...

Take straight out and put in Airing Cupboard (if you have one) Overnight. This should sort out Any Trapped Moisture.

If not, then take out and Blow with a Hairdryer on a Warm Setting, for a Good Half Hour.

If you can take the Offending Thing Apart... Spray the Internals with a Good Cleaner, But one that Won't Kill Electronics. I find a quick spray with Brake Cleaner does the Job. This will also find any Moisture and Drive it out.

After all that, a Very light Spray with GT85 or Similar, this will help to keep Moisture at bay.

Then re-assemble and Hope...
