well i have been bored so i needed a new project so i decided to build a crawler today the parts started to arrive :banana_jump:

well i have started the chassis and my god is it a shit the do. i will persevere and get it done soon. pics will be up as soon as it looks any good :joker: .

i am still deciding what wheel and tyres to use but they will defiantly be bead locks :thumbs_up:

as for the shell i have decided to go with the best 4x4 bar far ( landrover ) for the not in the know.

well this is the basic chassis a rough copy the junfac tracer kit still needs tidying up but its nearly there see what you think

well i have been working on the axels over the last few nights so here is a progress report


locked diffs by placing the one planet gear between the other two



then replaced all the crapy bushes with bearings (thanks Russ )

next job was to make the steering links and lock the rear axel steering

then modelsport delivered some more stuff body shell and motor


i litle bit of work later and it was taking shape

got my new tyres today they are pro-line Flat irons and i have got to say they are really soft. i am using memory foams in them as this seems to be the norm with crawlers. now all i need is my wheels i hope they come soon :thumbs_up:
