Description: build advice please
ves - May 17, 2008 12:07 PM (GMT)
Just got my self a new lunch box.and wondering if any body(MONTY) had any advice on building it, i am going to swap the plastic bearings for metal ones, but are there any other things i should look at like the type of paint and are there any other standard parts that should be hopped up at the build stage so i don't have to do it at a later date.
Thanks.

you should use tamiya TS-47 chrome yellow if your going box art but unless your very lucky you wont be able to get any at the moment as Tamiya have pulled it all from sale !!
so the best way ive found is key the body with 1200 wet and dry and to use primer and whatever colour you fancy from the local HALFORDS!
Bearings are a deffo way to go but anything else is all down to personal preference i personaly prefer it with standard boing boing bouncy bouncy lame suspension cos thats how i remember it when i was a nipper but adding oil filled cva's is a vast improvement if you actually want it to handle a bit better, although saying that lunchboxs rarely use the front wheels anyway they are usually pointing skywards!!
not an awful lot to do to lunchbox's really that doesnt detract from its stupidity (which is the whole reason for owning one right?) they are a great laugh as per kit build bar of course using some decent bearings which you already have sorted!!

that is the point of the third shock mod to replace those springs with a damper to stop the crap amount of movment in the rear axel
