Don't have first hand experience of the Sanwa Gemini, but let me indulge you in my tale.

(roll up kids, grandpa has a story to tell!)

I had a dilemma when I was looking to switch from AM to FM. Decent stick radios are few and far between, unless you go for the £200 plus range.

I narrowed the choices down between the Sanwa Gemini 2 and the Hitec Eclipse Pro Car.

I eventually went for the Hitec, as it feels chunky (some might say a tad heavy, but I like to know that I have something in my hands, not some empty plastic casing), and it uses modules, so that when you want to go the spekky route, you can just buy the modules. For features I can't knock it, has all you'll need and a few extra's too. ABS, anyone?

The only downside is that you need to use Hitec crystals. In the beginning it was a bit of a struggle, but I have about 6 pairs now and never clash wherever I go.

After seeing the Sanwa in the flesh, I don't regret my choice. It looks like a cheapo plasticky thing, whereas the Eclipse is a chunky radio.

Paid about 80 squids on the 'bay, so would assume that you can get it cheaper nowadays. They are few and far between, but keep 'em pealed, they'll be on there sometime. I'm sure Timbo will be able to sniff something out for ya!

Now me...

Not seeing a Hitec, but having seen Lots of Sanwa's would say...

They Look Really Good.

I can't give First Hand Experiance unfortunatly because i use a Wheel.

But judging by the amount i see at Races and listening to what people say they are a Very Good Tranny.
