Andy it has rrp £349.99, but likely to be around 330 on release
wish they had gone for gun metal grey for the anodised bits imagine how sexy it would look then. sadly purple is looking tacky now, other than that i'm impressed!
larwoo - March 13, 2008 11:46 PM (GMT)
was thinking that actually i was looking at my eb4 and savage and every bleedin thing is anodised purple and i think it just looks shite!!
quite like the look of something different for once!!!
not a bad price i did think it would be quite a lot more than that for some reason.
are there any reviews on how it drives yet?
Ross'i - March 13, 2008 11:49 PM (GMT)
Dont worry the rate you break things mate it wont take long to replace all those anodised bits :joker: :joker:

Might pimp my mum if anyones interested lads?
looks kool as, Mat will by one for sure.
Jedi Master - March 22, 2008 01:52 PM (GMT)
I don't like it to be honest, its just kinda ugly. Bad colour scheme to start off with, and something about general look of the buggy as a whole. It just doesn't seem to have that wow factor like the B44 does! :flower:
Just IMHO of course!
(Definately not worth even one camel!!! :joker: :joker: )

ok guys here are the long awaited chassis pics, love the belt trans they have come up with, spot on schumacher fair play!!!

The first thing you notice about the car is the 3 belt drive train that is mounted very high in the car, above the battery and radio gear. This allows the motor to be mounted along the centre line and it is said to have an adjustable internal transmission ratio to optimise the car for brushed or brushless motors. Also according to the features list the motor rotates the same direction as the wheels which is said to create a car with superb jumping responsiveness and no torque steer effect, as is common with shaft drive cars.

Features
- 3 belt transmission with efficient low tension belts running on large size CNC machined pulleys.
- Adjustable internal transmission ratio (2.4, 2.6, or 2.8:1) to optimise ratio for brushed or brushless motors.
- Motor rotates the same direction as the wheels creating a car with superb jumping responsiveness and no torque steer effect as is common with shaft drive cars.
- Super free ball diffs with silicone nitride balls, pro spec thrust bearing, and lightened steel outputs.
- Strong steel universal joint driveshafts.
- Smooth twin pad slipper clutch with easy access adjustment.
- Unique clamp motor mount to fine tune weight distribution, and allow motor changes without affecting gear mesh.
- Industry standard wheel fittings.
- Eccentric bearing housings for adjustment of belt tension and diff height.
- Layshaft or front one way option. Overdrive front pulley option.
- Internal gear cover.

Chassis
- Optimum weight distribution with ‘4+2’ NiMh batteries or stick pack lipo layout.
- 2.5mm aerospace grade carbon fibre chassis and top deck.
- Horizontally split transmission housings for ease of maintenance and diff access.
- Ultra narrow chassis design to minimise grounding on roll.
- Rigid servo mount directly onto transmission housing for precise steering.
- Dirt protected with tight fitting body and undertray.
- O ring wing mount system to avoid crash damage.
- Purple titanium turnbuckles included.
Suspension
- Class leading suspension geometry with durable components and a huge range of adjustments to set up your CAT to any track conditions.
- Adjustable rear roll centres, inboard toe-in/toe-out, anti squat and track width.
- Adjustable front roll centres, inboard toe-in/toe-out, track width and rake angle.
- Pro spec shocks with titanium nitride shafts, CNC machined pistons with recessed ‘e’clips, threaded collars, twin O ring sealing and diaphragm volume compensation.
- Strong and rigid 4mm carbon fibre shock brackets.

Marc.. RC Addict! - March 25, 2008 02:39 AM (GMT)
Im not one for buggys anyway really but if i was gonna get one it would be that :cool2:
russ your right though, purple was the wrong colour to use (on the shocks)..
I bet tim will say different tho
purpletimbo - March 25, 2008 12:15 PM (GMT)
I don't know about weight, heaviest bits lowest makes sense, belts don't weigh much and if you run then down the middle need a much wider tub, more weight again, and what's everybody got against Purple :P
