My fun continues lol now i have a good glow lighter it starts all the time and ive even had a few good runs round the car park but just now i was pootling round as you do when on run in and it and it just went mental full throttle till it bounced off a wall i grabbed it got i of the ground then after running fast it stalled i'm guessing the battery for the receiver went flat cos the servo keeps twitching i had luckily been running in for a while so hopefully the full power for 5 seconds or so hasnt done any damage

But i have learnt one thing even when not particularly well tuned SHIT THIS THING SHIFTS!!!! :joker: :joker:

seeing as your still running rich with the run in process engine should be fine.

i recommend a 6v nimh receiver pack and a failsafe mate :thumbs_up:

how does a failsafe work ive heard about them but untill the last 15 mins never thought about it much lol :joker:

failsafe basically fits inline between throttle servo and receiver and monitors the signal and voltage. if either fluctates or becomes lost it will return the throttle servo to neutral position, it will come with instructions on how to set it, basically you want to set it so throttle is closed and slightly on the brakes

Had to fit a failsafe to my Marder after, on its maiden voyage in my hands, it disappeared across a field, through a hedge, lost a front wishbone to a fencepost and finally came to rest in a large ditch. Lesson learnt! :D

Funny thing about this is today was the first time ive had thecar set and running so it doesnt stall as soon as you get past half way on the gas and look what happens... talk about sods law :joker: :joker:

Is a fail safe something that just the 3R has? cos i have a dx2.0 that i'm using and i had this problem with that today..

Don't quote me on it but I think so. But then, if ya battery becomes disconnected, nothing but a manual-return spring will stop it. :P

yeah thats what happened the day i got my eb4 the battery case split and had no control whatsoever over the car and it ran full speed into the only building for about 3 acres. :clap: :clap:

luckily all that it broke was the lower arm and front wheel.
