Hi mate and welcome to the site
Well its always quite difficult when choosing a New RC car/truck if its your first or not, there are so many good ones to choose from. B)
As matt said, the GT10 does look and is ok, well the looks are lush, lol
As im a traxxas freak, My choice would be a T-MAXX.
heres 3 types:
T-MAXX 3.3 = £285 (over you max price)
http://www.benracing.co.uk/acatalog/Traxxa...tol_RC_RTR.htmlT-MAXX 2.5R = £240 (My choice  for sure)
http://www.benracing.co.uk/acatalog/Traxxa...ol_R_C_RTR.htmlT-MAXX 2.5 = £225 (i own one)
http://www.benracing.co.uk/acatalog/Nitro_...ol_R_C_RTR.htmlOr you could get a HPI savage 3.5 = £250
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...on&ItemID=20859Well im sure your have fun choosing mate, let us know what one you get in the end

Hi neep mate

Matt - March 5, 2008 11:35 PM (GMT)
if it was my choice i would go for the MT2
Marc.. RC Addict! - March 5, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
Mate, i would wait and get the T-MAXX for sure
if you want a great truck that handles well, is easy to run and tune, and the spares are easy to get and are cheap, the T-MAXX is your best bet, i know for a fact you will love it
put it this way if mine died :(
I would have to 110% to and buy another :D
T-MAXX for sure
all the best, Marc..
neep1987 - March 5, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
thats the thing marc my mate has a traxxas t maxx n im not very fond of it,n from what i hear hpis are the best models,i def like the look the mt2 and it the cheapest of the 3 whch mean i get it quicker
Jedi Master - March 5, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
Yep, if its just for fun and bashing, you'll get spares real easy and its probably the best all-rounder.
Agree with Marc on that!!
Ross'i - March 5, 2008 11:44 PM (GMT)
Im defanately not an expert but id personally go for the T-MAXX firstly like marc said the parts are easy to get hold of and cheap but secondly and this is my main reason for going this way is you can get some amazing shells for them i'm personally a fan of the proline grave digger style shell that's out there with some other tweeks and the right decals you can have a real monster truck replica
neep1987 - March 5, 2008 11:46 PM (GMT)
u def startn to sway me towards the t maxx, are pasrt for the hpi n hotbodies hard to get cuz if so il get the t maxx as il prob break few thngs on it,out of the other 2 whch wud u go for
Matt - March 5, 2008 11:56 PM (GMT)
youtube.com
loads of videos on there should help you make your mind up.
the mt2 will be quicker and will jump better sorry guys, but they have improved it big time and it has the later engine which is a killer
Marc.. RC Addict! - March 6, 2008 12:00 AM (GMT)
lol sorry mate, another great thing about the T-MAXX its got the EZ electric starter and shes got reverse
no hpi parts you can get quite easy aswell, same for the hotbodies, but the parts on average not as cheap and so easy to get. plus there are more upgrades fot the T-MAXX (if im wrong on that, :) i WILL be corrected)
its really up to you want one you choose mate, any one of those 3 your be pleased with. but as much as i like traxxas and my T-MAXX what i will say is, if your mate has got one and you didnt think it was all that, dont buy one and buy the other one you like
neep1987 - March 6, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
yea was lukn at the hpi but cnt get shells for it,sorry bt all da questions guys im a total noob, just 1 more if u wer gna gor for an on road car nitro powerd around same price whch wud ne best cuz iv saw 1s at £160 quid and wonderin if they any gud
Matt - March 6, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
i fancy an mt2 myself, i have owned a t-maxx 3.3 myself and a savage ltd edition
both were great trucks the savage was strong as hell, t-maxx had some weaknesses in particular... shocks, hingpins, bulkheads, other than that it was great but i just had the feeling i couldnt bash it as hard as the savage if you get me.
as regards the mt2 its pretty strong and weighing less than t-maxx it will be more agile and although may not handle as rough terrain given ground clearance i still think its the better option.
the t-maxx is great but in my opinion there is a lot to update and mod to make it rock solid like the hpi's are out of the box.
video here...
http://www.hpieurope.com/show_video.php?lang=en&videoID=85and that was the old engine!!!!!!!
the new model is insanely quick
Matt - March 6, 2008 12:04 AM (GMT)
yes as marc mention plus point for t-maxx is definately the e-zstart system that is one pukka feature i loved starting the t-maxx and 4-tec made like so much easier
neep1987 - March 6, 2008 12:08 AM (GMT)
cheers guys def thnkn bt the mt2 il make my decision soon when i have enuf money gota save for it first,u guys been great help n thanks cuz i dnt wana go buy sumthn that fall apart in 2 days, there just sumthn bt the hotbody that draws me to it,can u get shellds for it apart fromthe stock 1
Matt - March 6, 2008 12:12 AM (GMT)

http://www.hpieurope.com/gallery.php?catId=truck10&lang=enits your decision mate, i'm slightly biased as i've been tempted to get the mt2 myself
