:D

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding battery charging.

I have orion 3300mah and 3600mah packs and im using a novak millenium pro.

Im charging the packs at 1c (3.3 amps & 3.6 amps respectively) to prolomg the life of the cells.

How long should i be charging them for to get the peak all ive ever been told is to keep checking and when the pack is quite warm to hot due to the chemical reaction once the cells are charged.
but my packs dont seem to get hot really they used too when i used a cheap ansmann with a quick charge so im now thinking if i have a idea of time ill be more confident in what im doing and know im not ruining my packs too.

Cheers

hello mate,

What you was told about taking the battery off charge when it gets warm (not hot)
is just a rule of thumb,

i dont know about the charger you are using but i think you charge time is about 3 hours, BUT russ or one of the other guys will help and give you better advice

This is taken Straight off another Thread only a few Days ago, the Search Engine, or even just a quick look at other Threads is sometimes a Lot Quicker....

Right, ok...

Forget the NiMh setting on your Millenium Pro...

Use the Ni Cad Setting !!!!

This is because you Can set the mv !!!!!

So, set it to as low as it will go. Not sure if it will go down to 3mv, but if it will, set it to that.

Then, i would set your Amps, No Higher than 5A !!!!

This should see you Good and be Safe.

And the Thread it came from...
