Well, went along this week with my Nephew in tow for the 2nd week.
It's a bit Hectic when your trying to make sure 2 Cars are Ready etc. Hopefully he'll start to understand what he has to do soon to get his car ready to Race. i.e. Put battery in, put Transponder in etc etc etc. He'd Never driven a RC of any kind until his first Race last week, so learning how to just Drive a RC is Hard enough, let alone getting Racing Savvy.
Race 1, 1st, but with lots of Understeer, going in And coming out !!!
Race 2, 1st, Better after i'd made some changes.
Race 3, 1st, Better again, but still something missing.
Race 4, Well, I took this Opotunity to take Lewis's Tamiya TT-01 out. This was so i could Set a Benchmark for him for the Future. As expected i finished Last, but it went Better than i thought it would. Bear in mind this is totally Bog Stock (apart from Ali Propshaft and Plastic Oil Filled Dampers) Stock Speedo, Mabuchi 540, radio gear etc etc. After half the Race had past i came up with the conclusion that i Might be able to go Full Throttle for some of the Track !!! In fact i managed it for the Whole Track !! I pretty much did this for the last half of the Race, except when i got it slightly wrong and had to readjust etc.
I was 8 Laps behind the Mi3 with the TT-01 and Lewis was a further 6 Laps behind. So now we know what he has to get to Before i put in a Proper 27t Stock Motor.
I did Finish the Night in Top Spot, by.... 0.48 Sec !!!!!!!!! :P
