Sorry Timmy, but your Wrong there mate.
I have Raced and Bashed with IB4200 for 2 Years now and not had 1 Problem !!!!
There Is an Issue with some of the Later Batches, but...
It's also got to do with How you Charge them, What you you Charge them at, What you Use to Charge them, etc etc etc.
If you tell me All your Settings you use, i'll tell you if there Might be any issues.
Obviously No one can be 100% sure, but there's Lots we can do to Help the Cells Not Explode.
Just Don't get too Worried about some of the Scare moungering....

Cheers Russ, on that link it lists the batch numbers that were at risk, I thought that would be helpful if he was worried, so he could check
And it does specify charging settings as well, always helps.

ok no worrie's.i just got back from picking up another xray t1 evo2.also i do discharge the cells on my novak smart tray set at 0.9?dont know if that will help any? :thumbs_up2: guys
russmini - January 17, 2008 08:28 PM (GMT)
Right, ok...
Forget the NiMh setting on your Millenium Pro...
Use the Ni Cad Setting !!!!
This is because you Can set the mv !!!!!
So, set it to as low as it will go. Not sure if it will go down to 3mv, but if it will, set it to that.
Then, i would set your Amps, No Higher than 5A !!!!
This should see you Good and be Safe.
Hope that Helps.
And, Yes, Set you Smart Tray to 0.9v Per Cell

thats awsome cheers russmini, and every one else for the sound advise to put my mind at ease, your all great, will it take any longer to charge than it did?
russmini - January 19, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
No.
It may even be Quicker....
Cause you May have been Overcharging them before...
Theoretically it should take around 40 - 50 Minutes.

xray-stew - January 20, 2008 10:27 AM (GMT)
what about my 3300(3packs) as i use these for qualifying and 3600(1pack),4200(2packs)for finals, will i be able to charge them all at the same setting or would i have to change it for each size pack?sorry for constant questions, cheers
russmini - January 20, 2008 10:30 AM (GMT)
You can use the Same Settings for All.
Basically out of what you've got there, the IB's are the Most Troublesome, so those Settings will be Very on the Safe side for the others.
And obviously because of the Lower Capacity, will be Quicker to Charge.
