I want to get a new battery for my RC18T but because ive got a dodgy connector on my battery and charger im finding it quite hard.
Heres a picture of my connector on my battery i think its called a universal connector:



Ive not found a battery with the same connector as mine anywhere, but im sure ive got a spare connector myself that come off my old ESC, so all im thinking of doing for now is buy a new battery and cut off the connector from the wires then putting mine on.

I could'nt find many batteries, well for a good buy it now price anyway but i found these two.

What one should i get guys? i know the intellect one is a better brand but the other one i would get faster as its in the UK, but if anyone knows where i can get a battery with my connector so i dont have to do any chopping that would be great,lol

I'm running a vapextech in my transmitter, and although it's not a high current drain scenario, I can't knock it.

I've used quite a few Vapextech and they are generally very good value for money. (I'm not a racer, but for bashing they're excellent IMHO) :thumbs_up:

that plug is a Hobbyzone configuration, some of the Hobbyzone planes come with them and my little 1/20 Mini mauler truck did as well, but take care as the awkward souls swap polarity on the pins from air to surface usage, when I bought 2 3800 nmh stick packs off ebay with overnight chargers cheap, both chargers had Hobbyzone plugs and Tamiya convertors to the stick packs. So I have some spare plugs and sockets.
Most of my Mini T sized stuff itsy bitsy Venom spider etc use the other plug, red or yellow for battery or motor, as on this minizilla ESC

also, when you said take care as the hobbyzone connector swap polarity at the pin's does that mean i have to cross the wires over when i cut them to put the new connector on? dodgy if i do have to,lol.

Polarity wise, i run the Mini mauler on a nimh that came out of a plane, 7.2v instead of 6v gives it that wheelie kick, but although the plugs were identical, they were opposite ways round = and- from the car to the plane, so I pulled the pins out and swapped on the esc so that the battery and charger and esc all matched.
Still not got to box of aerials yet, will be digging again on Thursday :D
I got a convertor from tamiya to those mini zilla plugs made by Venom from modelsport for £3 or so :thumbs_up:

yeh still no real rush for the antenna mate but im starting to run out of cash,lol but ill pot some a side just in case you do find one.

ill have a look on modelsport for the convertor cheers tim, must admit though i will probs just re-wire the battery that i get.

i would have just made my own battery but its just as cheap to buy a new one,lol :lol:
