Thats really bad mate.

Hope she gets things sorted.

Would be good if you could let us all know how it happened, once Ebay sort it out of course. We may be able learn somthing from it, and hopefully avoid the same happening to us!! :o

bummer :that_stinks:

password tip: use passwords with combination of letters and numbers at least 10 digits and change every month, you can keep note of them in a diary etc.

Always always always use a credit card to fund your ebay purchases and bills.

Paypal is notorious for not caring about a claim, and it'll put you out of pocket. With a credit card you can call your bank up and tell them to sort it. You'll get your dosh back, and it's up to PPal and your bank to sort it out, saving you 1. the hassle and sleepless nights, and 2. having to piss around getting in touch with paypal and nagging them.

Good luck sorting it out, and post on here if you need any other help.

Morning All

Im glad to say its all sorted now :) my mums ebay account is back to normal and once again safe and sound, lol hopefully will stay that way aswell..

Luckily my mums paypal account was always safe it was just the ebay account that got high-jacked, my mum changed her passwards to get her account safe once more then ebay did there bit, whatever that was! but all her information and history is back to normal, ebay also told her to download the ebay tools as this also has an account protection with it, they also said using the ebay tool will 100% stop users accounts being high-jacked! but thats all they said they could'nt give a real reason on how he did what he did anyway..
Oh yeh and my mum dont have to pay for the bills the git made.

Im glad for my mum it got sorted fast, it took less then about 16 hours to fix so thats not to bad i guess..

Oh well all sorded now so all good

Good news stories about ebay and paypal are few and far between, so it's good to see one.
