Hi guys, im hoping you can give me a little help and advice, its not for me but for my old man, he wants to buy a new buggy and was thinking about buying one of these, its the Thunder tiger EB4 S2 PRO 1/8 RTR buggy, heres two places we can get it from and the price does differ a little bit, also one of the buggys has a different colour shell and different wheels but i think apart from that they are the same but im not 100% sure..

So guys what do you think of the buggy, it looks ok to me, good quality and the price isnt that bad, but do you guys think its a good buggy and worth the money or should he get something else? guys please feel free to show me some other buggys or truggys thats in the same price range and are worth getting. SPARES!!!!

all i can say! i found thunder tiger incredibly difficult to get spares for (hence i switched!)

also i wouldnt get an S2! if your gonna get anything thunder tiger get the S3, much better designed and built, but even so! having raced on for about a year i would get a hyper rtr over a ttr any day of the week,

you will probably also find that you can steal set ups of other people for the hyper but there are very few ttr's kicking about! (there are reasons for this! :) )

hope that helps! lol!

Rob

thanks guys

yeh that helped cheers mate, SPARES is one of the most important things to think about, even more so for my old man as he crashes quite a lot
ill have a look at the hyper to remind myself how it looks and ill show the old man, ive also given him modelsports web site as they sell shed loads of RC cars/trucks/buggys and then he can choose a few he likes.. then we can pick them apart

T-MAXX or a Savage is also on his mind..

thanks again guys

yeh the reason hes thinking a t-maxx is because he loves mine but also likes the look of the savage, but ideally he wants a buggy, good thinking i guess as he gets to use my t-maxx anyway and im sure ill get to use the new buggy. :D

Ill be talking to him in a day or two, so ill tell you what he thinks of the hyper  thanks again guys

good choice :D

the engine is the mac star28 so make sure to run on 25% it runs awesome on that, any other % and it overheats!!!

Marc.. RC Addict! - December 31, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
cool im sure he will like it, im sure i will aswell, lol :D

use 25% that would be handy as i use 25% on my t-maxx, when was said use any other % if will over heat, do you mean any other % higher then 25% if you used 20% it would be fine aswell tho a mate?.. you know what im like so easy to get confused

some people have had issues with running on 16% and 20%, but 20% seems ok for me which i ran during break in but now running 25%

apparently they do run a lot cooler on 25% so thats what i recommend

HAPPY NEW YEAR

COOL cheers guys, the right choice then B)
yeh matt mate im sure he will use 25% on it, and if he does he will use Tornado like me, one of the great things about that fuel is it has extra oil in it for cooler running, cant go wrong with tornado :D

Matt - January 1, 2008 04:08 AM (GMT)
agree i highly rate tornado, its my choice in all my nitro cars

Marc.. RC Addict! - January 1, 2008 03:36 PM (GMT)
