Title: Polished Wooden Floor - Set-up advise

zipper - December 23, 2007 10:50 PM (GMT)
I'm planning to have a go at touring cars this winter, racing indoors on a polished wooden floor.

Where do I start in terms of set-up? I have a Corally RDX, set-up as per standard manual settings.

I've got some mini-pin tyres, but in terms of suspension do I go harder or softer?

Would have to sy Matt is your Best Bet, i've Never Raced on Wooden Floor's.

But...

I saw a Setup yesterday i think it was, on a site, i'll go and have a look where it was and Copy it for you.

suspension - drop it to the deck, run anti roll bars fr + rr, basically you dont need any suspension you just want it low and hard

tyres - yep mini pins are what you need

other settings - 2 or 3deg rear toe-in, one-way front diff

Here you go mate....

Front shocks: 60wt oil, gold springs, standard positions
Rear shocks: 40wt oil, blue springs, standard positions
Ride height 5mm
-2 degree camber all round
3 degree rear toe in
0 degree front toe
Thinest roll bar on front, no roll bar on back
Front and rear diffs both quite tight

This is based on a TC5 (so you can work out the strength of the Springs)

Hope this helps a bit...
