The Lawford Buggy Club is hosting a very special one off indoor GP.24 February 2008
East Bergholt Sports Centre, Heath Road, East Bergholt, Colchester, Essex, CO7 6RJ.There will be separate heats & finals for both 2WD & 4WD 1:10th scale electric off-road buggies, with trophies in each class up for grabs!
The track will be both challenging & fun with a mixture of jumps and bumps as well as carpet & slippery gym floor sections.
The meeting will be limited to 24 drivers in each class, and is open to non-members and drivers of all abilities....
so book in fast!Booking in for this special one-off event must be done in advance, by posting the following details in the booking-in section on this forum or clicking the below link.

There are currently 16 places left in the 2WD class - Come on 2WD drivers, where are you all! Every heat at this event will be a race to the finish. You will not be racing against the clock, but against the other drivers in the heat. You will then simply score points depending on the order you finish, which will determine the grid order for the finals!
This will make for one exciting meeting.... make sure you're there!

Unfortunately not in the main hall itself. I went there last night to pay for the hall and had a good look round for power points, so we can hook up the PA system.
There is just one plug, in one of the store cupboards, that we will use for the race announcer.
So, your options are to either bring a 12V battery, hook onto someone else's battery (I'm sure someone will let you) or use one of the plugs I saw in the reception area. The only problem with that is you wont be able to keep an eye on your cells or your stuff if charging out of the main hall.
I've already got someone sharing my battery, but I will see if I can source any other 12V batteries for others to use. I'll let you know if I get any.

im using a millenium pro so will be ine off a batt i havent got the bulldog clip style connectors for it tho :(

Try maplins, if not just use elastic bands?

You & your car will be fine. We have drivers at all different abilities and quite a few still run brushed motors.
