Tim
ryanuk - November 22, 2007 08:25 PM (GMT)
yeah the shape is not the best, also iv painted it on the wrong side! but thats how they tell you to do it,the one side that you dont paint is covered.
but when you put the spoiler on the way it should fit its showing that outer paint job.
sounds silly but i can use it without the spoiler cant i?
thanks lads :)

yeh you can use it without a wing/spoiler on a real car they help with the downforce but on rc cars its just for looks...
ryanuk - November 22, 2007 08:35 PM (GMT)

They do work on r/c cars, if anything you need them more on an r/c car.
Most r/c cars have about 750hp per tonne so any downforce is useful.
Also on some real 1:1 cars like the Porsches, the rear wing comes out at 70mph, lot's of r/c's are capable of those speeds.
I say spoliers do work on r/c cars and you should fix one to it. ;)

They Most Definatly Do WOrk.....
Thats why with Moorespeed SHells yu get Low, Medium & High Downforce Wings.
I'm not the Best Driver around but i can tell the difference between them. And Trust me, when you aint got one on there at all......
It'll just be Drift City, cause you'll have NO Rear Traction...

well iv ordered 2 from wheelspinmodels and there going to be in for wednesday.
thanks for the info! not going to use the car till fitted.

Did you order the HPI cut out wings? £7.99
They should be okay. I'm not positive though, just hope you haven't got the black plastic ones. That type is more for show.
There are rules on how big your wing can be and how far back it can be placed. You might want to check the rules out.
Off hand the wing can't hang out more than 1cm from the rest of the car. There are other rules to it but can't remeber. Some one else might be able to tell you.
