hi lads, can you help, i wanting to know if theres a petrol engine that will fit a 1/8 lightning pro, or one i can mod to fit??please let me know, price dont matter as im sure it will add up cheaper using petrol rather than the nitro..thanx in advance for help lads :thumbs_up:

samllest 2 stoke that would give you power of a decent nitro would be 23cc and weigh nearly as much as truck, I run a couple of 1/5 and my nitros are quicker.
plus the scale of motor actual size is very hard to fit in a1/8

yeah way to big for a 1/8 chassis as tim says
if you want some serious power fit a .30 or .32
the os .30 and force .32 are very good engines

hi, i see, i wasnt thinking of power, just convenience of using petrol..apparently im verry stupid for thinking of this but, be being new a curious ;) ..suprised they aint made some thing to fit,,would there be no way in converting nitro engine to petrol??..thanx

No you would need proper spark plug, and they don't come that small plus an ignition system and all sorts of other bits, and the max revs on a 2 stroke is 13,000 or so untuned maybe 20,000 with top end pipe etc but far more for a nitro hence the power output is greater :thumbs_up:

Of course shouldn't rule it out altogether there is one company that make a 2 stroke 1/8 touring car
