Title: A quick update

AdamRuss - October 19, 2007 05:52 PM (GMT)
Hi guys, me again.

Finally got the gearbox rebuilt and sorted the exhaust (stopped it from coming off).

It now starts first time every time! Only problems i'm really facing are a rubbish throttle servo that takes ages to do anything, range issues and getting into second gear.

Servo is easily fixable but i'm just curious about the range, i've replaced the receiver batteries with 1300mah NiMHs and the steering response is much better, but i've only got around 30m of range. Longer aerial?

Video here (but it's still updating or something) it just seems to run out of steam, like it's hit top revs.

I cant even get it to shift with the wheels off the ground

Again, cheers for your help!

When's the next meet by the way?

...yeah i dunno why youtube videos take so long to clear.....!?

The aerial looks to be fine, comes to just under the top of the pipe and affixed to the receiver box properly.

Am i ok using 1300s as long as i keep them charged? I think i have some 2500s somewhere.
