Looks awesome
Brushless you reckon?
I thought it might not be long after brushless Stampede and Rustler
Tower will have them soon no doubt

Matt - October 19, 2007 06:06 PM (GMT)
damn i'll have to sell mine now

edit:
its got 3.3 driveshafts :( they could have at least included their new cvd's!!!

oh and its still got those naff bulldozer tyres that weigh a tonne

good points:
twin steering servos with servo saver built into bellcranks, sealed electronics, brushless ready (optional single motor gear cover)

bad points: no cvd's, not brushless, 2speed is optional! still using titan motors if those why not the 12t ones lol, crap tyres

they should release 2 versions one standard and other brushless using their new velineon system

Zinno - Traxxas Employee "We are hoping to have these in stores by late November or early December in time for Christmas"

"The new differentials are not 100% stock swapped Revo differentials. They are beefed up with new internals and steel internal bracing, and will undeniably support the power of brushless systems"

"The center driveshafts are beefed up and will also support the power. Both of these, and all other potential weakpoints have been extensively tested and proven"

"The transmission is more compact and almost 2.5 times as strong as the previous E-Maxx design"

"The body is a new version and while featuring similar overal features, is a new design"

"The shift servo is a micro servo, placed in the chassis immediately behind the transmission. The two speed assembly will be sold separately as an upgrade"

its a must have mate :D

pricelessrevo - November 11, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
i just bought a alloy gearbox and drive gears for my g maxx , also got 2 bulkless diff housings coming and robinson racing slipper clutch .

im running 2 fully water proof escs off the traxxas twin servo wire splitter.

p.s it absolutely flies round my garden on 14 cells and 2 12 dble motors. barley get it too full speed and my gardens huge.

its a great option as it means you can pick up 2 cheap second hand no limit escs on ebay (or preferably if you have a esc already, buy a second one matching) and have virtually brushless power for cheaps.

seriously i think 2x 7 turn motors would be insainly fast providing you used correct gearing.

those stock traxxas esc on emaxx do the job but i found it quite sluggish, plus i love modding.

now i have a gearbox spare and also a full set of stock electronics and as i have just bought a rolling revo chassis second hand to fix up my carbon fibre revo i may try to make the spares into a e~revo :)
(but lots to do to get my old revo straight 1st)

been watching a lot of videos. looks really slow tbh

yeah needs running on 16.8v really to get any decent speed.

or better still wait for the brushless version like i am :D

Marc.. RC Addict! - January 5, 2008 12:08 AM (GMT)
yeh wait for the brushless version, cant be that long away now.

When i get a new truck and go brushless im getting this beast for sure :D
