Nah, yu should be o.k. The preformed one's expect to be hammered. You will want to change out the motor straight away tho. More volts needed and maybe a bigger prop. I'm bring my brushless beast to the next bash so you can have alook at that.

Alan, if you want to do comparisons then just copy the name of the boat into u-tube. You'll see how they perform then.

Are we getting a little of the track?? :joker: :joker:

Thought this was a RC 'car/truck/buggy' racing forum!! :joker: :joker:

It'd be great to have a boat 'bash' though!!

alans_savage - October 14, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
me and matt found somewhere the other day we think we could get away with going to its about 20 mins from mine

Jedi Master - October 14, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Maybe I could bring these along??

The yellow one is my 'El Lobo' hull, she's fitted with outrigger hardware, all alloy, and has a water cooled ESC that pics up from a scoup in the rudder. Powered by a Feigao 540XL brushless motor, this hull beat Ron Fuller in the 2005 world championships. That was on 7.4v but I'm about to run her with 14.8v lipo's, and with the newly installed berillium bronze sharpened prop it should fly!!!!

The second is my Riva Ariston. A static boat made of real mahogany, I had it converted to run with the same spec as the yellow one but it has 2 540XL brushless in it, each powered by 14.8v lipo's. Ridiculously quick, weighs nearly 12Kg and would cost about a grand to reproduce. :joker:

Hope you like!
