Title: Another new guy saying hello
chiprandall - February 1, 2006 07:04 AM (GMT)
My name is Chad and I live in San Diego, California U.S.A.. Collected vintage RC for a while, mostly Tamiya and Kyosho. Recently found a big interest in Schumacher. I currently have 2 Cougar buggies, 1 Storm, 1 CAT '98, a CAT 2000, Cougar 2000, Procat, and Fireblade Evo. Trying to learn as I go and I really appreciate your site.
Here are a few of my Schumachers.

Hey Chad - nice to see another buggy enthuisast. I'm beginning to head that way myself! Just curious - what be the yellow/orange and pink/purple starry buggies in the first pic? Schumachers, I know, but which models?

Thanks everyone for the great welcome, I hope to learn a little and contribute. To answer the question about the buggies, the first two in the bottom picture are both Cougar's and the third is a Cougar 2000. I really like the simplicity of the 2WD's and they are very tough and fun to drive.

Chad - what be the ones in the first pic me'lad? That's what I'm keen to know!

Phoenix,
The cars in the first pic are two Cougars's, a Cougar 2000, and a Club 10 Storm pickup. The bottom photo are the Cat 98 and 2000, a Procat, and a Fireblade EVO. I can take body off pics if you like.

Hi Chad you got some cool buggies there.
Phoenix - February 4, 2006 12:53 PM (GMT)
I gotta get me Cougar! Thanks for the info Chad - feel proud that shortly, the dent in my wallet will be 101% your fault! :P I wouldn't worry that much though as there's nowt on eBay. I might have to be quite patient by the looks of it. Are they as good fun to use as they look?
chiprandall - February 7, 2006 07:15 AM (GMT)
Phoenix,
They are a very fun buggy. Quite a simple design and it seems quite tough so far. If you find one and need any particular part, I have loads. The buggies are not very expensive, I just sold a third one I had for U.S. $50.00 or so. I wish I would not have sold it so cheap though, should have started it with a higher minimum bid, Oh Well. Good luck finding one.
