Title: Custom made RC Light setups
Description: for all scales (cars,trucks,helis)
Marc.. RC Addict! - May 24, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
Hi guys,
As well as being a RC Addict lol, i also make top quality custom made LED light setups for all RC cars, trucks, heli's and more!
The LED setups i make can run on 12v batteries, or 9v pp3 standard square batteries or can run off your reciever using your models battery pack power, i make all types of kits so the choice is yours, (the type and amount of LED's, size and colours) (2 bulbs min, 22 bulb max)
I can even colour code the wire and heat shrink to your bodyshell, i also get a wide range of LED colours, size and types and with all my LED light setups you get a choice of LED holders..
For an example you could have a 8 bulb LED light setup with 5mm bulbs, 2 white for the front, 2 blue for front fog lights, 4 red for the rear lights.. (power type example) if you choose to have a light setup that runs of a 9v pp3 battery, with my setups you get a choice of having a standard 9v pp3 battery clip connector or a 9v pp3 battery box that also has a ON-OFF switch, This type of setup is perfect for monster truck bashing and 1/10 cars.
To give you some idea, heres some pictures of different types of setups. :)

All my light setups are top quality and custom made, safe, very tuff, fully built and very easy to install and remove..
Not only do thay look class, they work very well and do the job.. put it this way my garden is well over 36ft long if i put my truck at the end of my garden the lights not only shine on ground in front of the truck showing you the ground ahead, they also light up the other end of my garden and shine on the fence well over 36ft away. i also use them for heli nav lights and you can see them from well over a mile away, not that i recommend you flying your heli a mile away from you, lol :crash: But i do also sell LED lights that are not so bright.
If you have not used your RC stuff in the dark! why? your missing out...
I have made light setups for myself, for lots of members of RCR and everyone i know, and NO one has not liked them B)
OK the boring part the price! the price ranges from £3 to £9 and that includes 1st class recorded delivery :D As the setups are custom made for you, after you've told me the type and size of setup you want, and what model the setup is going on, i can give you the correct price.. Also if you buy more then one at once, ill make it even cheaper.
All light setups are sent with FREE RECORED DELIVERY, or collection. Im also a high, good and trusted ebay seller so you can buy with confidence, i also offer a full money back guarantee. Payments can also be made using paypal.
:paypal:
Im always updating my stock and trying to get new things for us, so keep looking as more will be added soon, but if ive not got what you want ill do my best to order it in, for you..
If anyone has any questions please let me know and ill be happy to help..
Please view the slideshow to see some great pictures of RCR members cars/trucks/buggys and light setups ive sold. of the light setups ive sold, some of the pictures dont give the LED lights or models true justice!..

drifter - June 26, 2007 07:39 PM (GMT)
Hi mate looks good, i am interested in getting these lights for my WRX 1/10 imprezza TT01
could you let me know if you can do these;
2x 10mm white for headlights
2x 5mm blue for foglights
2x 5mm red for rear lights.
6 light setup please on 9v PP3 battery.
do you also supply the brackets for the bulbs? how do you fit these on the body shell?
Regards
drifter
Marc.. RC Addict! - June 27, 2007 05:10 AM (GMT)
Hi drifter, Thanks:)
yeh i could make that setup for you mate, would you like a 9v PP3 battery connector plug on the setup or a 9v PP3 battery box that has an on-off switch?(battery box is much better)
Yup the leds come with locking holders(brackets) that fit on to your body shell, the 10mm white leds come with chrome holders and the 5mm come with black ones.
They are very easy to fit you just drill a hole 10mm or 5mm on your body shell where you want the led to be, and then you just push the holder in the hole on your body shell, then push in the led in the holder then lock it in place with the round clip. Have a look in the truck section mate, it shows my t-maxx lights and how to fit them, but i can always give you more help it you need it mate.
Also if you let me know what colour your body shell is, i could also match the colour of the wire and heatshrink to your body shell, or you can just have them to a colour of your choice.
6 bulb led light setup (running off a 9v PP3 battery box)
2 x 10mm white,
2 x 5mm blue,
2 x 5mm red,
I can make you that setup for £5 mate, that includes 1st class or recorded delivery.
HAPPY BASHING MATE
drifter - June 27, 2007 02:18 PM (GMT)

Oli. B)
Lozi - July 4, 2007 09:20 PM (GMT)
i think i may be interested in these altho not sure which car to put em on, it will be a similar setup to drifters scooby but 5mm white instead of blue!
Marc.. RC Addict! - July 4, 2007 10:08 PM (GMT)
Hi Oli, yeh mate that should not be a problem at all, all i would need is a few pics and maybe some measurements.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Lozi, no probs mate, and if your not sure what car/truck you want them on just do what ive done, put lights on all of them.LOL
Or you could even have 1 light setup that can be put on different cars/trucks depending your mood, thay are quick and easy to fit and remove.
You could have your kit as small or as big as you like. and all of the design is your choice mate. (wire colour, led size and colour,) depending on stock..
i have just ran out of 5mm white leds but more should be arriving any day now :)
and as soon as there here i will let you know if you want.

xtm-xt2-lee - November 1, 2007 02:32 AM (GMT)
hi mate im after a heli navigation setup. i would like to build it myself so it will fit perfect. is there any chance of a kit? if so:
no battery clip
green led (smallest you have)
red led(smallest you have)
plenty of small wire
heat shrink
and mounting holders.
how much would that be? and before i can confirmi would like to know the size of the leds incase they are too big. if you want i would swop for miniz monster bearings?
cheers
lee
Marc.. RC Addict! - November 1, 2007 06:14 PM (GMT)
Hi lee mate,
Im nearly out of stuff now, i need to get more, but i may have enough stuff to send a kit. What size and what heli was you playing on putting them on? Im also going to need to know what voltage your heli battery is so i know what resistors you need. i take it your going to run the lights from one of your servo's?
I Think i have some ultra bright green and red 3mm LED's left but im not 100% sure i will need to check, they are perfect for nav lights. but ive got 5mm LED's in blue, red, yellow, white, flashing red, multi colour flash. but i think 5mm are to big. The wire i have is 1.2mm its small strong and flexible, ive got it in a few colours.
As for the price mate just a few quid will do, we can sort that out when we know if ive got the bits you need. ill have a look at my stuff tonight.
talk to you soon mate..
xtm-xt2-lee - November 1, 2007 09:19 PM (GMT)

thanks
lee
Marc.. RC Addict! - November 4, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
Hi lee, sorry for the slow reply.
Ive had a look and ive not got any 3mm leds left, or servo connectors, sorry about that mate. but i will be getting more stuff in, but its not going to be for a few weeks, but if you dont want to wait for me you can buy light setups on ebay, but i know you was planning on building them yourself. but as soon as ive got all the bits ill let you know and then if you still want the kit ill send you it. talk tou you soon.
HAPPY RC-ING MATE

I have a KYOSHO LANDMAX 2 SUPEREIGHT, the body shell is a 1/8 scale mitisubishi lancer. I've been reading your blog here and would love to have you put something together for me. I'm going for the drift look flashing lights, the whole nine yards. I would also love to know if there are any light mounts that i can use for the front and rear light that would set inside the body shell without drilling holes. Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to doing business with you soon.

FOR ALL: STILL WAITING ON SOME STOCK, SORRY FOR THE DELAY GUYS..
___________________________________________________________________
Hi Dimelo mate
Im still waiting on some bits but when it all comes ill gladly add you to the list and build you a setup. if you get a chance post a picture of your car B)
When you say flashing lights, do you mean LED lights that flash on & off continuously with a single colour or multi colour? or do you mean flashing lights as in full function lights that come on & off depending on your cars movement or your control? If you mean LED's that continuously flash, like a cop car or pace car, yeh thats no problem i could do that for you, but at the moment ive only got red flashing LED's and some tri-multi flash LED's that flash blue, red, green, but i could order different colours and types if you want them.
But if you mean full function lights, no i dont make the setups yet, as i cant bulk buy the bits i need plus the price is way to high, but heres where you can get them from:
http://www.storacingproducts.com/cgi-bin/t...owprod_LEDLIGHTAs for the LED holders, im sorry to say, the only LED holders i have are the ones that you drill holes for, but ive got some nice ones. You can get the holders your talking about, ive seen them but cant find anywhere that sells them, apart from in a kit with the whole light setup, the link i just gave you with the full function light setup also have the holders you are looking for, I THINK.
But for a full function setup your looking at around the £30-£40 mark..
Here are the LED holders ive got:
The black plastic holders i have come in 3mm and 5mm, they also come with round back locking clips.

The Chrome LED holds ive got come in 3mm 5mm and 10mm, the 10mm holders are chrome plastic, but the 3mm and 5mm holders are chrome metal B) and all of these also come with locking nuts and washer.

But if you or anyone else knows where i can get the back plate holders for LED's please let me know ill glady stock up on them :)
I hope ive been of some help to you mate, look forward to hearing from you all soon
HAPPY RC-ING... :rc_car:
dimelo - January 29, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
Thank you very much for the info. I do look forward to working with you on my setup. I'll be posting a picture of my car soon, I was thinking the flashing lights not the full function ones. I also found a site that may have the light stays, it may not work for what I'm looking for but it could help other customers. www.morfars.com
The colors I'm picturing are blue for the head lights, red in the rear and purple and/or yellow around under carriage all flashing. No special function just flashing either steady rate or fast.

I just spoke with a co-worker of mine and he wants to know if you have any ideas for the REVO he just got. I'll post a picture of both vehicles tomorrow.

Marc.. RC Addict! - January 29, 2008 12:45 PM (GMT)
Hello, dimelo. look forward to dealing with you aswell, your light setup sounds crazy mate, B) it will look good. but be warned the lights are bright and all that flashing may cause a fit  that much flashing would hurt my head for sure lol.
Im just double checking but do you mean, you want your whole setup flashing? the blue front and red rear lights flashing aswell as the purple and/or yellow under carriage, or do you just want the purple and or yellow under carriage to flash. Whatever way you want ill do..
Because i dont stock the LED's you want it means i would have to order them for your setup, i dont mind doing it thats cool but please bare in mind mate because i wont be bulk buying the flashing LED's the setup would not be as cheap as normal, but it will still be cheap your just pay for your LED's i order thats all, it will only add about £1 on the price, i hope thats ok.
Ill have a look at the site in a bit thanks mate, but also on ebay ive seen some strobe type flexi tubing lights for RC cars these sound great for what you want, ill try to find it and post it on here for you to see. i could be shooting myself in the foot here but i dont care id rather you be happyier with your setup  im sure ill find it.
As for your mates REVO, a light setup like my T-MAXX would be great he could then choose the amount off LED's and what colours he wants and what LED holders he likes best.
Look forward to seeing the pictures mate, talk to you soon
In a few days ill be listing all the LED's sizes and colours ive got and im getting, but i can always order different ones if you guys need me to..
HAPPY RC-ING. :rc_car:
dimelo - January 29, 2008 01:23 PM (GMT)
:D You're probably right with the flashing. I think I'll just do the front and rear lights flashing and I still want the other lights. I like the neon idea and I'm open to any suggestions. My friend is worried about putting light under his REVO in fear he may damage them. He would love to but can't think of a good way to do it...open for ideas...

But some good news, ive got enough stuff here, to build a few light setups for you guys. If anyone needs a setup just let me know and if i can ill be happy to help.
Also, If you think you may have a bit of trouble fitting the light setup on your body shell your self, feel free to send me your shell and ill fit the setup on it for you, (for free).
Talk to you all soon,
