The track is now open :D

We had our first sneaky practice run yesterday and the levels of grip coming up were awesome. We're open every Wednesday night from 7pm (weather allowing) and every Sunday (not sure about the times yet).

If you're ever in the area, pop on by. It's gonna be a relaxed atmosphere, probably have a BBQ going on Sundays and the track will be open for practice when meetings finish.

Hope to see some of you in the future.

Tim.

PS. If you need more info, best check out our forum:

Hi Marc,

I would suggest you take a look at the club forum for all the latest info:

http://www.eecc.co.uk/forum/index.php

But the track is open every sunday (so far it has been anyway :)) and the gates open around 8am and racing starts about 10am. Depending on the numbers there is usually 4 qualifiers and 1 final but we have had 3 and 1 or 4 and 2 before. The track is left open for practice afterwards unless the race director has to shoot off. It's always a relaxed affair with regards to scrutineering (there isn't any lol) so unless you are streaks ahead of the others in terms of straight line speed there won't be any need for checks. There's usually a BBQ going and if that ain't your thing there's a Burger King 2 minutes up the road or a Somerfield 3 minutes the other way.

We run electric touring cars in 27t, 19t and open mod, but if there is enough of another class we will probably run it. The only thing is it has to be electric because the council didn't allow nitros as part of the planning permission. If you're unsure, it's best to ask on the forum beforehand so you can get an answer from the committee.

We are also open on Wednesday evenings from about 6:30pm with racing starting about 8pm with a 3 qualifier, 1 final format.

Hope that answers some of your questions and come on down whenever you want to have a fun days racing.

Tim.

Just so you know there is no racing this Sunday (1st July).

THancock - July 9, 2007 08:12 AM (GMT)
In case anyone is interested, we have been invited to run a race meeting and public access event at the Eastbourne Motor Show

http://www.motorshowevents.co.uk/meleastbourne.html

Don't know what size the track will be but they've given us a car park so it might be a good size. Most of us will be running stupid fast 3.5 and 4.5 brushless motors but a lot will be running stock as well.

There should be a few cars available for the public to try as well.
