I've noticed that when you click on a link to this forum, you need to be a member to view the topic.

Example: shameless plug on maxbashing

I think that will put a lot of people off the information, and as we're only a bunch of usuals, we need all the new faces we can get.

Most people (including me when I first visited) came on as guest, saw that the post count in the subforii was low, and dithered whether to bother to register or not. Granted the post count is caused by not being logged on, but I think that that won't be realized by the new visitors, and probably think that there's not much happening on the site and go elsewhere to find answers to their questions.

Any ideas, admins?

was originally set so everyone had to log in to view topics as we had problems with people coming on just to rip off information and photos to their own sites.

we have now set it to enable guests to view topics.
