The line between Genius and insanity is a very thin one to tread, as Tamiya's designers are tesimony to.
Kyosho's however crossed it long ago

Cheers bud! I try my best :)

The shocks let the Fireblade down a weeeeeeny bit.. It really needs Hard Alloy Shock bodies, but hey!

Matt - January 1, 2007 11:21 AM (GMT)
love that bosscat, is it new build????

tomstacey - January 1, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
Tis indeed Matt... has every hopup I think they did for the Bosscat.. Except maybe Alloy eccentrics, can't find them for love nor money :(

what other hop-ups were there for the Bosscat Matt? I know there was a chassis with cells at a wooky angle, some chap on the schumacher forum has BC with one.

scoobster - January 1, 2007 03:53 PM (GMT)
Sweet collection mate!!!!!!

purpletimbo - January 1, 2007 04:25 PM (GMT)
And if there isn't I'll find one that does :joker:

tomstacey - January 1, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
You're like a bad uncle Tim.. the worst influence a man can have!!

:joker: :joker: :joker:

Only kidding, you're my number 1 bargain hunter... :)

scoobster - January 1, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
so whats next on your wish list? is there like a holly grail of old school RC that are like hens teeth to get and everyone wants?

tomstacey - January 1, 2007 05:17 PM (GMT)
Hmm I think the next purchase will have to be a Gold Tub RC10 or a Yokomo super dogfighter.

Holy Grails are normally Tamiya 3 speeders, SRB's and things like the Avante and Egress. Kyosho Optima's have quite a following too.

scoobster - January 1, 2007 05:21 PM (GMT)
If i can add a Bosscat, Lazer ZX, Tamiya FAV & a Tomy Intruder i will be well pleased, not sure how happy her in doors will be but what the hell :P

U1249W is the alloy eccentrics i sold my nib bosscat works along with another bosscat box full of nip parts in there was all the option parts and spares to last a lifetimes racing.

U1249 is very very rare, took me 2 years to get hold of one set. I don't know of any others. chance of finding some now I'd say is near impossible, no shops have them.

Just by chance someone having a clear out of old parts you might strike lucky. expect to pay 10 or 15 for them.

your bosscat has all the goodies from what i can see. if you do indeed sell anytime in the future then i would definately be interested. i would sell my entire collection probably to own it. i couldn't bear to build my nib kit in the end so had to sell it.

U1346T you have then? the alloy ballraced steering kit. that was the best option ever.

re chassis there was 2 optional c/fibre ones the usa nats chassis and the assymetric chassis. usa nats basically brought the cells into the centre a bit more over standard, and the assymetric had the staggered slant postions as you mention, this made the cells site quite far back.

i used to run both and did quite like the assymetric as with the cells further back the car didnt tend to nose dive off the jumps, it was for high grip tracks like grass though. on patchy or dusty surface the usa nats worked much better, as the assymetric used to cause the rear end to break away sometimes.

other schumacher option parts worth having are...

ceramic diff balls, tungsten carbide thrust races, one piece shock piston set.

i see you have added the purple goodies and all the stuff i would fit.

one other thing is maybe converting over to the hi-tensile hex screws like mi2 ec uses, i upgraded my mi2 to those screws much better than phillips or torx screws.
if you wanted to do that let me know and i work out all the sizes and qty's you need.

how about a lazer zx-s ???

i see your zx-r its minted. but the zx-s is really something special

p.s. 1st dibs if your parting with the zx-r ;)
